According to the Poughkeepsie Journal:

“The Poughkeepsie City School District has made changes to staffing and implemented new policies, Superintendent Eric Rosser said, after the state Comptroller found the district was missing equipment and had thousands in unaccounted funds.

A report released by the Office of the New York State Comptroller found the district had missing information technology assets, treasurer reports were filed late and nearly $40,000 in extra-curricular activities funding was mishandled."

"The comptroller's report came to the conclusion that district officials were 'unable to properly protect computer resources, including data, if they do not know which resources they have and where those resources reside.'

According to [Superintendent Eric] Rosser, the district often has dated equipment that was previously disposed of without the proper documentation."
